Royal Goodwin Sand Golf Society

Welcome to the Royal Goodwins Golf Society, a cherished group of friends has been bringing together golf enthusiasts since 1952. Originating from Chestfield Golf Club in England and Knokke Town - Zoute in Belgium, our society has a rich history, with roots that span decades. Formerly known the Goodwin Sands Golf Society, we proudly received royal assent from the King of Belgium, leading to our current name. We continue our tradition of friendly competition and camaraderie, initially played twice a year but now alternating our annual games between our two countries.
The exact reason for the beginning seems lost in time but we continue to investigate this. Some say it started as a football match but as members aged golf was adopted as a safer option!
